David Rhodes shares this observation on pride-- 'Pride is the dandelion of the soul. Its root goes deep, only a little left behind sprouts again. Its seeds lodge in the tiniest encouraging cracks. And it flourishes in good soil: The danger of pride is that it feeds on goodness.' Last time I shared about God's divine decree to King Nebuchadnezzar concerning the poison of pride. How God divinely warned this very prominent man about the very real potential for judgment. Daniel, the prophet was assigned by God to interpret this divine decree even though it left the heart of Daniel troubled. Nevertheless, Daniel faithfully obeyed the word of God and revealed the truth of God's word through the d

Ministry Perspective, Over the course of the next few weeks I want to direct our attention to the danger of pride. It's been said that there is a difference in taking pride IN one's work and boasting ABOUT one's work. The word of God tells us that we should do things heartily, with passion as unto the Lord. God's purpose is not reserved for vocational ministers like pastors, evangelists or missionaries, alone. Discovering God's purpose for life in His big plan is how disciples begin and continue the journey of striving for the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Yet, there are many in the Lord's church today who are saved by t
