Reaching Our Community
At First Baptist Church, we offer small groups for people of all ages from newborns to the more seasoned adults and everyone in between. Our small groups are biblically and doctrinally sound and are always welcoming to new members or visitors.
First Baptist Church has a strong Children's Ministry. Wednesday Night Light is a Bible based and fun time for the children in our community. They have a high energy worship time and an insightful teaching time with crafts and a meal included. The children also have a graded small group time on Sunday mornings and Children's choir on Sunday evenings at certain times of the year. Your child will find themselves having a great time in any of our ministries created just for them.
"FOR HIS GLORY"
For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created by Him and for Him. Colossians 1:16
The YC exists “For His Glory.” It is our goal to continually teach students to honor Almighty God in every area of life. Our desire is to lead students toward salvation and discipleship as they learn to obey, worship, and serve the Lord along a unique purpose-discovering journey.

SR. ADULT MINISTRY
At First Baptist Church, we offer our older adults the chance to fellowship and minister with our Golden Comets ministry.
We have a luncheon on the first Sunday of each month and just have a good time.
We also take day trips throughout the year and an overnight trip once a year also.
The Golden Comets have movie nights, sometimes at the church, sometimes at the theater and we have a game night from time to time. But whatever we do, we have to stop and get ice cream every time.
The Women's Ministry of First Baptist Church seek to equip our women in reaching their God-given purpose and potential in Christ through: Spiritual Growth, Prayer, Fellowship, Missions and Servanthood. We have several opportunities for Women to be active and growing: Women's Wednesday Morning Bible Study at 10:00 a.m. (winter and spring sessions), WMU every second Thursday of the month at 9:30 a.m. A Mom's prayer group meets every Tuesday at 6:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall while school is in session.
The Men's Ministry of First Baptist seeks to equip men in fulfilling their God
ordained purpose of being men of godly character and conduct.
Salvation is the first step in seeing God's purpose become a reality. In keeping with the Lord's commission to make disciples, we are currently in the second term of an ongoing 9 month discipleship opportunity in which 20 men come together in 4 different groups to pray, study and share each week from God's Word. New discipleship groups of 10 or more will begin in September of 2017.
*If you would like to join one of these discipleship groups, you are encouraged to contact the church during office hours.
Service is the next step in seeing God's purpose become a reality. In addition to our discipleship emphasis, we offer breakfast fellowships periodically throughout the year. There are always areas of ongoing church ministry where men have the opportunity and are encouraged to serve in the body of Christ.
There are various ministry opportunities through the year that one can be involved in as well. This is a ministry where God is moving among men---come join us!!
At First Baptist Church, our Worship Ministry exists to point people towards Christ and to glorify
God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength.
Our Praise Team which is called the Voice of Praise meets every Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. for rehearsal along with the worship band and technical crew. We believe that our worship of the One true and living God should be "an offering worthy" to be given to Him. That is why we work so hard in rehearsal, to make things not only musically worthy, but also to take the song to heart and live it before we bring it before the "Audience of One" on Sunday morning. We are always looking for new instrumentalists to join us as well as new worshippers for the praise team.
