A Word for the Week
There are three major points of encouragement that helps us on any given day of any given week, no matter what we are facing, fighting or fleeing from.
The first is--God will not forsake His own.
Hebrews 13:5-6 says--"Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' So we may boldly say; 'the Lord is my Helper; I will not fear, what man can do to me."
People may abandon God, but He never takes the initiative to abandon His own.
The second is--God will not fail His own.
Luke 12:27-28 says "Consider the lilies, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin, and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothes the grass which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith."
We are never promised all we want--but all we need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 And we most always need less than we want. God will not forsake you nor will He fail you in regard for your need!
The third is--God will not forget His own.
Romans 8:37-39 say, "Yet in all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
In a world that is filled with fear, believers must be fueled by faith in the living God.
He will never forsake His own!
He will never fail His own!
He will never forget His own!
Question is--'are you one of His own?"
If so, you have no reason to fear. If not, you have an opportunity to exercise faith in the only One who can save your soul and secure your future!
His name is Jesus and He is still our only hope & help!
May the Lord bless His work in your life this week!
See you Sunday for worship!
