Wednesday's Words

The word for this week is 'WHOEVER'.

It is a word that carries a tone of welcome for all who hear it. It speaks of inclusiveness in its witness to others. It is word that transcends cultural boundaries and limitations.

The word of God says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that 'whoever' believes in Him shall not perish but shall have eternal life." John 3:16

Anyone may be a part of the "whoever" in that promise.

However, it is imperative to understand that it is NOT 'what' you believe that makes the difference BUT 'who' you believe. Someone may have faith in a chair to hold them but a chair will not save your soul. One may exercise faith in a church to minister to personal needs but a church will not satisfy your most important need of salvation. Only faith in Christ will accomplish that.

It is who you place faith in that makes the eternal difference and Jesus included you and me in the 'whoever' when He said, 'whoever' will may come.

If anyone is excluded it is the result of being unwilling to believe. God is consistent in that throughout His word. God leaves that important life choice to every single human being and every person lives with the consequence of their decision.

The word of God says, "'whoever' acknowledges Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My father in heaven." Matthew 10:32

There's more--The word of God also says in Matthew 10:39--"whoever' finds his life will lose it, and 'whoever' loses his life for My sake will find it."

Listen to Mark 16:16--"whoever' believes and is baptized will be saved, but 'whoever' does not believe will be condemned."

'Whoever' is a word that should be emphasized daily!

God made a place in His place for 'whoever' in glory.

John 14:1-3

Question is--'does God have a place in your place on earth?' And if so, 'does God have a place for others in the place you worship?'

In being included in His family through faith may we all live in such a way that others would want to be included as well.

Blessings on your week!!
