The word for this week is 'TRUST'.
Trust is a word often translated 'confidence' or even 'hope'.
Trust and faith are synonymous in that both require a willingness to demonstrate dependence on something or someone entirely. Partial trust or confidence is really no trust or confidence at all.
Trust is vital for any meaningful relationship to develop and mature. Trust, in human relationships is often built slowly and can quickly be torn down through a lack of integrity.
Trust requires some discernment and use of discretion. We must not put our trust in anyone or anything proven untrustworthy.
We place our trust (confidence--hope) in Christ alone who is absolutely trustworthy. He holds us securely in every circumstance of life, whether good or bad, happy or sorrowful. Jesus is faithful to His word. Therefore we can enjoy the assurance that He will keep every promise made because He has never broken one. In fact, it is impossible for Him to not keep what He has promised. So regardless of what the circumstance is or may be, Jesus is worthy of trust because He has proven Himself over and over again to be trustworthy!
In what are you placing confidence today?
In whom are you trusting with your soul?
Wherein lies your hope?
Good questions that only you and I can answer personally.
I trust you will do that sooner rather than later!
May the Lord bless you this week as you trust Him with all your heart!
